We have been in the hay making business for over 20 years. Chuck is our resident expert. He's grown, put up, and stored hay. He's loaded, unloaded, and trucked hay. He has also been feeding hay for over 30 years to multiple types of animals. He can tell by looking at it how it rates on the feed scale, and which animals will do best on it. For the skeptics, we also send samples to a lab for test results.
Currently we hay 500 irrigated acres, 600 dryland acres, and 200 acres for grass hay. We raise straight alfalfa along with alfalfa mixes, grass hay, triticale hay, oats mixes, plus others for different types of animals. As far north as we are, in a good year we can get 3-4 cuttings.
We have large round bales weighing approximately 1200 pounds. We also have medium square bales 3'x3'x8', weighing 700# - 1000# made for special requests only. As we get more interest in the small squares. We may put some up for those who want them straight out of the fields.

This is the what I got on hand as of 4-21-062nd cutting alfalfa 107tons, this hay had some rain on it 50% green and 50%. Bleached brown . will make good cow hay. In a 1200lb Round bale strings are fair .
