Honey Creek Ranch Boers
ABOUT US
Our beginnings were different than most Boer goat ranches.  We started out with two myotonic (fainting) crossbreds to eat weeds a few years ago.  These two little goats taught us a lot about how to take care of goats.
On our family vacation, the summer of 2002, we attended the Wyoming State fair, and found the neatest bunch of goats that my family had never seen.  We met several nice people who raise Boer goats.  When we returned home we scheduled a trip to look at some Boers and Boer crosses, with a trailer in tow - just in case.  In a weeks time we were in the Boer goat business.
Currently we breed percentage and full blood boers and register them with the IBGA.  We are currently building our own herd, but in the near future would like to be a large supplier of goat meat in western Nebraska.
We have two dates in mind when selling our kids: Passover/ Easter in March and April, along with Thanksgiving, Hanukkah, and Christmas time mid November to mid December, and occasionally we will hit Ramadan in October.  We also provide does and wethers for 4-H or FFA projects mid- April through mid-May.
